TH1001 Low-Electroosmotic Agarose – High-Frequency FAQ (10 Key Points)
TH1001 is low-electroendosmosis (LE) agarose, with the following key specifications: Electroosmotic value (-Mr) < 0.15 、 Gel strength > 1200 g/cm² 、 Sulfate ≤ 0.15% , specifically designed for high-precision nucleic acid electrophoresis.
Low electroosmotic flow can substantially reduce back‑flow during electrophoresis, resulting in DNA/RNA bands that are straighter, less distorted, with sharp edges and no trailing—thereby significantly improving the accuracy of fragment size determination.
The raw material is a natural extract derived from Indonesian red algae of the genus Gracilaria, processed using a standardized purification protocol. This ensures high batch-to-batch consistency and eliminates electrophoretic variability caused by differences in raw materials.
The 1% gel exhibits a strength exceeding 1200 g/cm², resists breakage, and boasts excellent toughness, ensuring smoother sample loading, gel cutting, and transfer. It is well-suited for gel recovery and repeated experimental procedures.
After rigorous testing, DNase, RNase, protease, and nuclease inhibitors were all undetected. , it does not degrade nucleic acids or inhibit downstream enzymatic reactions, ensuring maximum experimental safety.
The low sulfate content results in reduced background fluorescence, a higher signal-to-noise ratio, and brighter nucleic acid bands, enabling clear visualization of weak bands and enhancing the detection sensitivity of imaging systems.
Gelation temperature (1.5%): 35–37℃
Melting temperature (1.5%): 87–89℃
The temperature is moderate, making it suitable for the entire workflow of conventional nucleic acid electrophoresis, gel extraction, and fragment separation.
Applicable to DNA/RNA electrophoretic separation, gel extraction, fragment analysis, PCR product verification, protein electrophoresis It is a standard molecular biology experiment with extremely broad applicability.
Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry place, tightly sealed; protect from moisture and sunlight.
Shelf life: From the date of manufacture 36 months , long-term storage does not affect the gel’s performance.
• Low electroosmotic flow → Stripes are straighter and clearer
• High gel strength → Easy to make glue, not easy to break
• Ultra-high purity → No enzyme contamination, low background
• Natural ingredients → Stable batch processing, compatible with high-end experiments
