Environmental samples often contain co-purifying inhibitory substances that compromise downstream applications. Common inhibitors include polyphenols, humic/fulvic acids, tannins, and melanin. These compounds frequently co-purify with nucleic acids and severely inhibit enzymatic reactions, such as PCR.
The HRC Inhibitor Removal Column III​ is specifically engineered to eliminate these polyphenolic PCR inhibitors. It effectively clears these contaminants to recover high-quality DNA suitable for the most sensitive downstream applications, including NGS (Next Generation Sequencing), qPCR (Quantitative PCR), and other enzymatic assays.
